Stories and lessons learned from the Metlakatla Cumulative Effects Management Program. The Metlakatla CEM Program is a resource management system for monitoring priority Metlakatla values and provides a way to respond to undesirable changes in the territory. It attempts to connect assessment to monitoring programs so that they can support Metlakatla decision making. It is values focused, practical and implementable, interdisciplinary and embraces the natural uncertainty of cumulative effects and consists of four phases.
