Purpose of the program is to support environmental resource management decisions. This is done by generating different types of information such as: science information or traditional knowledge information, baseline conditions, cumulative effects, and long-term environmental trends. The program encourages early engagement with communities. The vision of the program is to watch and understand the land so that it can be used respectfully forever. The program monitors caribou, water, and fish.
